ONCEFORMED grew from a love of searching for stones that could not be perfectly repeated. Today, each piece is individually photographed, honestly documented, and released only once.
ONCEFORMED is a provisional brand name pending final U.S. legal clearance. The collection remains in preparation until real pieces and their records are ready.
Before the first release
We began by looking closely.
Before ONCEFORMED had a name, our team had already fallen in love with searching for stones that could not be perfectly repeated. What mattered was not simply finding something valuable. It was noticing that an ordinary-looking object could become difficult to replace once its lines, surface, weight, and formation were seen closely.
That is why we plan to travel to Altay for a field journey: not to present it as the source of the collection, but to return to the act of looking that shaped the idea behind ONCEFORMED.
Story is not provenance
The current collection is sourced through selected suppliers and reviewed piece by piece. A stone is connected to Altay—or to any other origin—only when the record for that exact object can support the claim.
Recognition, not recommendation
ONCEFORMED does not tell someone which stone they need. It creates enough clarity for a person to encounter one exact piece and decide whether they recognize something in it.
Some things are not selected. They are recognized.

Observer, not oracle
We describe what is visible and verifiable. We do not assign destiny, healing, protection, wealth, or guaranteed outcomes to a stone.

Archivist, not wholesaler
Every release belongs to one physical object, with its own images, number, record, and permanent history.

A story may begin with a line, inclusion, color shift, or change of light. It never replaces the facts.

The name ONCEFORMED begins with a simple fact: nature does not make copies. Our method extends that fact into the way a piece is photographed, checked, named, published, and remembered.

Observe
The exact object is matched to its images, measurements, condition, construction, and any piece-specific documentation.

Distinguish
Observed facts, matched documents, supplier-stated details, and unknowns remain visibly separate.

Record
Only an approved piece receives its permanent Record No., internal identity, and one lasting page.
Released once. Remembered permanently.
When a piece is found, its page does not disappear.
Its status changes from Available to Found. The photographs, Record No., material disclosures, and story remain in the Archive as the history of one object.
The object’s record may be public. Its purchaser is not. Names, addresses, payment details, and private order information remain private unless separate permission is given for a limited ownership note.

No representative inventory. No invented history. No second copy presented as the same piece.
